Functional Endocrinology & Nutrition Training
Welcome to my functional endocrinology and nutrition training series. I wanted to put a seminar series together that explored standard endocrinology analysis and treatment combined with aspects of nutrition, biology and environmental stimulus that are often overlooked in clinical practice. One thing that I noticed after studying two years of endocrinology at university, a doctors emphasis is on the assessment and treatment without understanding the effects of nutrition, stress and environment that contribute to altered feedback loops altering standard blood tests. I felt that combining the work of great scientists and doctors could help to bridge the gap between standard medical processes and the effective integration of nutrition and environmental stimulus.
In this video series you are introduced to standard endocrine analysis and other aspects of biological function that influence an individuals health. The goal from this seminar series is to empower individuals to understand the factors that drive good health, increase robustness and decrease the need for extensive, expensive testing and over reliance on expensive, often unnecessary supplements. In the series the following subjects are reviewed with over twenty lessons.
Review hypothalamic-pituitary function.
Review the major pituitary hormones.
Assumptions associated with analysis.
Introduce simple assessments that were utilised and forgotten about in the last century.
Improving gastrointestinal function.
Mood and it’s modulators
Resolving menstrual irregularities
Breathe work and the role of carbon dioxide in health.
